The winner, Grey Destiny (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Southwell on 21 February 2019 where the gelding finished eighth of fourteen, beaten by 10 lengths.
It was noted that Antony Brittain's representative could offer no explanation for Grey Destiny (GB)’s improved form, other than the gelding appeared suited by the strong pace on this occasion.
Grey Destiny (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Elusif (IRE), which started favourite and finished fourth, ran too freely and Eoin Walsh reported that Takeonefortheteam (GB), placed sixth, ran too freely.
