An enquiry was held to consider interference leaving the back straight on the first circuit when Red Caravel (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Mr Andrew McBride, interfered with Parisian Affair (GB), placed third, ridden by Miss Pandora Briselden.
Being 7lb claimers both riders were offered accompaniment in the enquiry, but declined.
Mr McBride was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had angled his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear of Parisian Affair (GB), causing Miss Briselden to be badly tightened for racing room and lose her position on his inside.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 3½ furlongs out, when the winner Yagood (IRE), ridden by Mr Simon Walker, interfered with ARLECCHINO’S ARC (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Miss Harriet Tucker, and Quick Waltz (GB), unplaced, ridden by Miss Serena Brotherton.
Mr Walker was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail without timely correction and when not clear of ARLECCHINO’S ARC (IRE), resulting in Miss Tucker having to take a significant check off his heels and in turn tighten up a weakening Quick Waltz (GB) on the rail.
3 furlongs out, Robeam (IRE), placed fourth, lugged left-handed momentarily and briefly hampered Quick Waltz (GB), unplaced.
However after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Robeam (IRE).
Following the race, Mr Patrick Millman reported that Master Grey (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approaching 3 furlongs out.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Quick Waltz (GB), unplaced, finished lame on its right hind.
