Jason Hart, the rider of Tarnhelm (GB), drawn 5, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.
Hart’s explanation was noted that he was unable to remove the blindfold on the first attempt because Tarnhelm (GB)’s head was pressed up against the front of the stalls.
The performance of Quick Waltz (GB), which started favourite and finished eighth, was considered.
The representative of Michael and David Easterby could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Quick Waltz (GB) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
