The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Charles O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Shimmerz, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Garry O'Brien representative for the trainer, reported that his charge had not run on grass for some considerable time and felt the soft under foot conditions had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report. Furthermore,the Raceday Stewards fined Charles O'Brien €130 through his representative for failing to nominate an authorised representative to act on his behalf as required under the provisions of Rule 147(v)
J.A. Powell, rider of Tall Story, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tall Story, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
