The Stewards interviewed Mr. L. Quinlan, rider of Cuneo (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.4 in that he had used his whip without giving his mount time to respond. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended the rider for 4 racedays and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E for 1 day's tuition on the correct use of the whip. Mr. James Kennedy, Acting Steward did not attend this enquiry
