An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 ½ furlongs out involving Ebury (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Andrea Pinna and Royal Mariner (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Morgan Cole.
Being a 7lb claimer Pinna was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Pinna was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he edged his mount right-handed into an insufficient gap carrying Cole further right than she intended, tightening, and bumping Royal Mariner (IRE) causing the gelding to become unbalanced.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the home bend involving Monitola (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Catton; Reve De Magritte (FR), placed third, ridden by Jack Enright and Wrath Of Hector (GB), unplaced, ridden by Ben Sanderson.
Being a 7lb claimer Enright was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Enright had improved into a narrow gap up the inside of Wrath Of Hector (GB) which had been racing tight to the inside of Monitola (GB), before that runner edged marginally left-handed making light contact with Wrath Of Hector (GB) just prior to Reve De Magritte (FR) making contact with the hindquarters of Wrath Of Hector (GB), which caused both Wrath Of Hector (GB) and Reve De Magritte (FR) to become badly unbalanced when short of room to the inside of Monitola (GB).
Inside the one furlong marker Neptune Legend (IRE), placed fifth, lugged slightly left-handed causing Royal Mariner (IRE), unplaced, to be hampered in its run.
However after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Neptune Legend (IRE).
Following the race, Andrea Pinna reported that Ebury (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away.
