Permission was given for Invincible Soldier (IRE) to go to post early, and for Doonbeg Farmer (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.

Half a furlong out, the weakening Vocatus (IRE), unplaced, edged slightly left into the path of IT’S A LOVE THING, unplaced, causing IT’S A LOVE THING to be significantly checked in its run.
Following the race, Rhys Clutterbuck reported that DOONBERG FARMER (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
