The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Astrophysicist (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence G.P. Brouder stated that his mount was novicey and needed cheek pieces to concentrate but accepted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.P
Brouder was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended G.P. Brouder for eight racedays
G.P. Brouder, rider of Astrophysicist (GB) trained by Gearoid Patrick Brouder, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and right during this race
G.M. Ryan, rider of Admiral Brown trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room during this race
