The Stewards fined J.G.Coogan, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared visors to Daintree, prior to entering the parade ring
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Pandemic Princess, ridden by S.P. Davis and Daintree, ridden by W. Joyce, where it appeared Pandemic Princess drifted into the racing line of Daintree
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.P. Davis stated that his filly went left under pressure. W. Joyce stated that he received a slight bump from Pandemic Princess. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S.P. Davis in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
An extended handicap for three years old only (70 = 9st 12lbs) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 9st 12lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
