Having heard evidence from the trainer’s representative, Kirk was fined £290.
Following the race, Harry Bentley reported that Johnny Reb (GB), placed second, was denied a clear run and David Egan reported that Kodiak Attack (IRE), placed fourth, hung left-handed.
Josephine Gordon reported that Aperitif (GB), which finished last of the eight runners, hung badly right-handed throughout.
