The winner, Perfect Symphony (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 12 July 2020, where the gelding finished eleventh of twelve, beaten 12 lengths.
Mark Pattinson explained that it has taken two runs post-lockdown to get Perfect Symphony (IRE) to reach peak fitness and the gelding benefitted from the reapplication of cheek pieces on this occasion.
Perfect Symphony (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Comeatchoo (IRE), placed fourth, lost its right fore shoe; Thomas Greatrex reported that Kingmans Spirit (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and Kieran O’Neill reported that Fantasy Justifier (IRE), unplaced, missed the break.
Cieren Fallon reported that Eastern Star (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
