The Stewards enquired into an incident close to the finish involving Fighting Days, ridden by P. Townend, unplaced, Hunters Vision, ridden by D.G. Hogan, unplaced and Our Jerry, ridden by J.J. Burke, placed third, where it appeared that both Fighting Days and Hunters Vision ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action. C. Brassil, rider of Kilcaragh Boy trained by John Neilan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped turning out of the back straight. A.E. Lynch, rider of Tintown Robin trained by Vincent Laurence Halley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped turning into the straight.
