A.J. Slattery, rider of Jungle Jane trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung towards the gate onto the track in the closing stages
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Abstraction, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed first and Jungle Jane, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second, where it appeared Jungle Jane drifted towards the stands. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and took no further action. W. McCreery, trainer, accompanied P. A. Harnett at this enquiry.
