Abstraction comes home best in Dundalk
He's been in good form at home since he won in Down Royal. Paddy (Harnett) gave him a brilliant ride. The 10lb (claim) was obviously a positive. If he comes home safe and sound, and he's okay in the morning, I'd say we'll keep him racing here. He seems to love the surface.
Merricourt holds on and survives enquiry
Colin said he just idled a little bit in front but he corrected him straight away,. He said the track is riding very slow, which suits this lad. He'll be an ideal horse for the winter around here and eventually jumping. We put these horses in these claimers to promote these claimers and get them gone. There are no issues with them on our front, we handicap them and if somebody wants a nice horse that's what they are there for. We're a big fan of the claimers.

Acham back at Dundalk as Rainbow shines again
The owner is a better judge than me. He flew over from Trinidad once last year and she won and he flew over today and she won so he obviously knows more than the trainer,. I thought it was a pretty competitive handicap and I was particularly afraid of Hidden Spark (finished fourth). It's nice to win, he's a lovely man and he's had horses with me for a long time. He was introduced to me by Mick Molloy and the Kerr family. The Kerrs were very famous trainers in Clonee and trained a lot of top sprinters and milers back in the day. When they retired I got to train for him. He's been very good, a lovely man. He's ninety odd and he's in great nick. You won't see me at 92 unless you get a ouija board!
Believe In Beauty gets her winning bracket
She's been very consistent and is deserving of that,. She's been solid the whole way through. It was her first on the surface but Niall did say that she'd really like it. She likes fast ground, she doesn't bend her knee, and he was right. Even from a poor draw she broke smart and got a good tow into the race. He said he was going well everywhere. She was dead straight up the home run. David is away in Spain for the week on an annual golf trip with his brothers. He's had a good year and has been a good supporter and been lucky. We'll look for a nursery or something here. She's actually in the Forans series final and it's a nice pot. She'll run away, she's taking it well, and we'll keep going to the end of the season.

Simsir travels like a good one in Dundalk
He travelled like a nice horse the whole way and Ronan said he gave him a lovely feel. It was his first time on the surface, under the lights, and only his second ever run. They are hardened seasoned horses. He wanted to try and teach him something and come between them. He picked up well and just in the last 100 yards he said he was a bit green. He's just one of those horses that keeps his best for the track. We'll see where we go now and see what marks he gets. He has the size and scope to do it and only has the two runs. There is probably more to come from him.
Keane seals Dundalk brace on Cache Queen
It was great that we kept faith because she'd gone off the boil a little bit. I had her in at Hamilton twice this year and they were cancelled. We were going to go again with her last week but we said we'd wait for this. We worked her up here and she worked well. It's great for Conor and Josephine Hughes, who own the Mullingar Park Hotel. They've kept faith in her. She won a couple of times last year and was very consistent but she just struggled then with a high mark. She's back down and hopefully she'll win again for them. We'll keep her on the go here and see what happens.
