The Stewards held an enquiry into why the stalls were incorrectly numbered for the start of this race, which resulted in 12 of the 14 runners having to be backed out of the starting stalls and the stalls re-numbered front and back.
Harrison Shaw, the rider of Josiebond (GB), drawn 16, the Starters and the Stalls Team Leader was interviewed.
Having heard their evidence, the Stewards forwarded a report to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Connor Murtagh, the rider of Available Angel (GB), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level in the final furlong.
Leaving the starting stalls, Beyond All Dreams (GB), unplaced, jumped right-handed onto Bearwith (GB), unplaced, which took that gelding onto Neverbatsaneyelid (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Rowan Scott reported that Mr Trevor (IRE), unplaced was denied a clear run and Sean Kirrane reported that Kodiellen (IRE), unplaced, never travelled.
