We were worried about him during the summer, we couldn't get a tune out of him. We said we would just wait for Dundalk and see would it rejuvenate him. Adam Caffrey, rider of Rosie Rock trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up having sustained an injury
The Stewards requested a report from P.J.F. Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Kudbegood, placed first, as compared with its recent form. P.J.F. Murphy reported that his charge had disappointed at Listowel on the 5th June and was given a break after that race. He added that his charge reappeared at Punchestown on the 13th September and ran over nine furlongs. The most recent run at Gowran Park on soft ground a poor draw did not suit his charge. In his opinion the return to a mile on a track where the animal had proved his liking by winning twice and being placed twice was a contributing factor to the improved performance
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.
