The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Lady Leanora, ridden by O.J. Orr, unplaced, Glinting, ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed second and Rosscarbery (GER), ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed third, where it appeared that Lady Leanora ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. O. J. Orr stated that his run was over and he was dropping back when he had to check and it did not cost him anything. E. J. McNamara stated that his mount was green and rolled around in front. R. C. Colgan stated that the horse in front of him shifted right just as he went for the gap. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards gave R. C. Colgan the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Glinting, ridden by E.J
McNamara, placed second and Rosscarbery (GER), ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed third, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. E. J. McNamara stated that his mount was green and rolled back to the rail. R. C. Colgan stated that there was minor contact but it did not affect him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while there was minor contact between the pair, Glinting had not improved it's finishing position as a result and they made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
