The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sheisdiesel (GB), trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving stalls involving Descendant (GB), ridden by D.M
Simmonson, Poetic Choice (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, Caridade (USA), ridden by M.A. Gallagher, and Time Stands Still (GB), ridden by D.P. Linehan, where it appeared D.M. Simmonson became unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. The Stewards also received a report from the IHRB Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, that a leather was found on the course, which was presented to the Stewards along with the saddle. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by the stirrup leather becoming detached in-running and took no further action.
An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards rated 45-70 Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra; for each race won.
