FormscanBy John O'Riordan - The Dermot Weld-trained KAYHANA can step up on her reappearance second at this venue. Having her first start since last September, the Aga Khan-owned filly only weakened late on over the mile. Dropping back a furlong should be very much in her favour here. Naas winner Plume Noire had a bit in hand on that occasion so might still be fairly treated off a revised mark. The fact that James Ryan can take 5lb off is worth its weight in gold in a race of this nature. Dagoda seems to reserve her best for the Curragh, so the Jennifer Lynch-trained mare has to be a contender under Oisin Murphy.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards fillies only that have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing up to and including 17th June, 2024, at least one of those runs having been on or after 1st May, 2023 (100 = 10st)Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.

Quotes on Dance Night Andday (IRE)
It's great to have Colin Keane on your side, he was brilliant on her. I didn't realise that it was only a nose,. It was a good performance carrying top-weight. She came out of Naas really well and she's a lovely filly to have. She's an improver and has a good temperament. She's lovely and relaxed. I walked through the barn last night and she was lying panned out, there wasn't a budge out of her. Colin said when he got to the front she pricked her ears and parked, she got idle. He knows her well, the three times she's won he's been on her. She'll probably dip her toe in a Listed race now and see where we are from there. There are a couple of different options for her. I stuck her in the Ballycorus at Leopardstown to have a look, as she's won around there before, but I'd say that will be tasty. I'd nearly go Listed before that. She has a good mind and definitely wants good ground, that's the key to her. It's lovely to have a really nice filly like her. After Dance Night Andday (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Fri, 24th May 2024 6f Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Plume Noire (IRE)
Off a strong tempo I was able to get the gaps and she quickened up well. She pricked her ears in front and had a blow so there should be plenty of improvement. She was changing her legs a lot and I think she would rather a little ease. She’d have no problem coming back to seven either. Seven furlongs or a mile with a bit of ease in the ground is her thing. Quotes on Coumshingaun (IRE)
We were disappointed with her the last day at Gowran and the time before in Listowel but, if you don't win one day you'll win the next, and it's nice to get it here and I'm delighted. It's been a tough few days with travelling and I wasn't going to come today. She's hardy, you have to get her into the parade ring and she's tough work. In the stalls she's tough, so the race is the easy part. We fancied her, she works very well at home, the horses are running well and we got a bit of rain during the week. She just held on and it's great. The horses are going well in England, I'm struggling to get a few here and I'm glad she won. After Coumshingaun (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 1st Jul 2023 6f Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Dagoda (IRE)
It's all about Leigh Roche this week, he's riding out of his skin,. He spoke to Seamie (Heffernan) and he let him know how to ride her. It was unfortunate for Seamie as he's suspended but Leigh is an able deputy and it was a great ride. I'm just delighted with her and we're looking at bringing her back here again in two or three weeks. She handled the ground well. Quotes on Indigo Five (IRE)
It was a bit of a disaster last week. I didn’t arrive till after the race at Killarney and when I got down to the stableyard I spotted the difference straightaway. . I’m delighted she won today for Ray. It’s a nice boost for everyone at the end of a bad week. She won well so we’ll see what the handicapper does. She’s in the sales but she might run again or they could hang onto her. . She’s keeps improving and did it the hard way there, drawn 18 and wide all the way. She just kept galloping and if the ground was softer she’d be better again. The cheekpieces helped her as well. After Indigo Five (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 7th Oct 2023 1m Flat Hcap Soft

Quotes on Talia (IRE)
She didn't quite get the mile at the Curragh - she wasn't beaten far, only three lengths. Seven furlongs is ideally her trip. She finds and she is honest and a genuine filly. We really fancied her today over this trip on that mark, so hopefully there is more improvement. Quotes on Matter Of Fact (IRE)
That was nice. She ran in May and has grown an awful lot since then. Nathan said when she was in behind she was behind the bridle, whether it was the kickback or what. It wasn't until he pulled her out that she absolutely flew up the hill. She did it well. She was still very green and she'll have learned a lot, which is great. I'd say she could step up in trip but the dam only got six, even though she's by Galileo. She has got a beautiful pedigree. My two-year-olds are only just starting to come to themselves. They were all good in the spring and then they all started growing. She was small in May, but now she's a fine, big filly. We'll see what comes up and see where we go from here. I'd hope we'd be going for stakes race next. She's got the pedigree and she's done that well. I'd say it was a good maiden, my other filly (fourth-placed Heavenly Being) didn't seem to get home. After Matter Of Fact (IRE) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 27th Aug 2023 5f Flat Maiden Good to Yielding

When she is on song she is a good mare but her antics before the race were a concern as she didn't want to leave the parade ring and after she won, didn't want to go back to the parade. Things weren't happening for her towards the end of last year so we left her off. She's a nice filly, she ran very green and I'd say she should improve a good bit on that,. They didn't go any pace so he had to make it really. I think she's quite a good filly and she'll improve. She likes fast ground and there was a bit of a dig in it today. Hopefully before the end of the year she can get a bit of black-type.
