Formscan By Tom Weekes - BURNING AMBITION is a slightly enigmatic but talented hunter chaser who might banish the memories of his defeat at Aintree last month with a win here. He looked home for all money when delivered with perfect timing at Aintree but folded badly late-on the run-in when beaten two lengths by Top Wood. Worryingly he also folded badly in the Cheltenham Foxhunters in 2018 and while weak in a finish (and quite possibly a non-stayer), might have the class to win today with today's rider claiming a helpful 7lbs. Ucello Conti pulled up in that Aintree race but bounced back to form with a win at Fairyhouse last month and while he has solid claims today, must give the selection 7lbs. Caid Du Berlais won this race last year, following a good fifth-placing at Cheltenham, and while he has strong claims on that basis, his pulled-up effort at Cheltenham fell far below his best form and he comes here bidding to recapture his form. Fenno's Storm is an able hunter chaser/point-to-pointer who comes here in excellent form and looks capable of getting involved despite stepping up in grade. Stand Up And Fight was well enough held in sixth at Cheltenham and had previously been beaten by Fenno's Storm at Kilfeacle and might bump a few too good again today. It Came To Pass, a half-brother to Lord Windermere, has had his training problems along the way but won well at Cork recently and could be able to reach the placings today as he matures into his big frame.
