The Stewards interviewed John Queally, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Costanuci. Evidence was heard from the trainer and from Ms. Orla Queally, the intended rider. Mr

Queally, stated that it was always his intention to have his daughter Ms. O. Qeally ride his charge. He stated that an issue arouse with the riders licence which could not be rectified before the close of declarations. Ms. O. Queally informed the Stewards that she had held a licence for some time, but unknowingly let it lapse and was unable to correct this on time, but the situation had since been rectified. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the nomination of Ms. O. Queally and cautioned her concerning her future responsibilities in this regard
