Permission was given for Legal Reform (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
Upon leaving the stalls Princess Shabnam (IRE), unplaced, jumped right-handed giving a bump to Sandy Paradise (IRE), placed fifth, causing the gelding to turn the quarters of Metabolt (GB), placed fourth.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong after the start approaching the first bend involving Metabolt (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Rossa Ryan; Sandy Paradise (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Finley Marsh and ON A SEASON (USA), unplaced, ridden by Callum Rodriguez.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Metabolt (GB) had edged slightly left-handed, before Ryan attempted to correct the gelding, however was unable to relieve the pressure due to the proximity of Evocative Spark (IRE), placed third, on his outside which had followed him across, and resulted in Sandy Paradise (IRE) being carried onto ON A SEASON (USA) which was hampered when short of room on the rail.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Metabolt (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Rossa Ryan and Evocative Spark (IRE), placed third, ridden by Franny Norton.
Norton was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, carrying Ryan off his intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Metabolt (GB), placed fourth, had lost its right-fore shoe.
Callum Rodriguez reported that ON A SEASON (USA), unplaced, had anticipated the start and was slowly away as a result.
