The Stewards interviewed P.A. Harnett, rider of Helen De Pourtales, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were satisfied that P.A. Harnett was in breach of Rule 211(a) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays
J. Kearney, rider of Benkogambit, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stood in the stalls once to gates opened
The Stewards informed Patrick Martin, trainer that a repeat performance of Benkogambit, who stood in stalls in this race may render the animal liable for suspension in future
