J.A. Heffernan, rider of Drumroll, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right under pressure
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Feel The Force, ridden by R.P
Whelan, and Baile Locha Riach (FR), ridden by S.B. Kelly where it appeared Baile Locha Riach was short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan, stated that he was keeping a straight line at the time of the incident. S. B. Kelly, stated that his mount ran keen and moved right despite his best efforts which caused interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Drumroll, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip one over the permitted level , but stated that he had used his whip one occasion for corrective purposes and pointed this out from the video evidence. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted that one strike was for corrective purposes and therefore took no further action
