The Stewards enquired into an incident on the uphill run after bypassing the second last hurdle involving Crystal Pearl (GB), ridden by D.N. Russell, slipped up, Give Her Bach, ridden by P.A. Gallagher, placed third, Popboru, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed fourth and The Conker Club, ridden by J.M. Moore, brought down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action.
An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards mares only that are EBF eligible (123 = 11st 10lb) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lb Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
