I was a little bit worried that we had the wrong side of the draw (in stall 8), but Mikey did a good job to get him as far over as he could. He’s got down to a mark (51) that he can win off at his age. He’s won two for them this year and has run well a lot of times from bad draws. He likes it here and he likes that trip. J.M. Sheridan, rider of Conversant trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount darted left one furlong down
N.M. Crosse, rider of Hot Sunset (GB) trained by Joseph Anthony Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running early
C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Merlins Muse (USA) trained by Tom McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Conversant, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a slightly delayed recovery and to have a slight nasal discharge post race
The Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Ever Rock, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, Conversant, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and Hot Sunset (GB), ridden by N.M. Crosse where it appeared that Conversant veered left and may have contributed to an incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
