An enquiry was held to consider interference at the bend at the top of the hill involving Boston Emery (FR), unplaced, ridden by Miss Roisin Leech and Red Force One (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Toby Wynne.
As a 7lb claiming amateur Miss Leech was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Wynne was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Boston Emery (FR) causing Miss Leech to take a slight check on her mount.
An enquiry was held to consider interference turning into the home straight involving Fransham (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mr Jack Andrews, Lively Citizen (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Lilly Pinchin, Elham Valley (FR), unplaced, ridden by Liam Harrison, the winner, Black Poppy (GB), ridden by Luca Morgan, Mayhem Mya (GB), unplaced, ridden by Finn Lambert and By Your Side (GB), placed third, ridden by Ben Bromley.
The Stewards determined that there were two separate incidents of interference.
In the first, Pinchin was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Black Poppy (GB) and Fransham (GB) on her inside, slightly inconveniencing these two runners.
In the second, Bromley was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear, taking Mayhem Mya (GB) and Elham Valley (FR) off their lines.
The Stewards noted that these two incidents happened simultaneously and resulted in the runners on the inside of By Your Side (GB) becoming short of room for a period.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run in having jumped the last flight involving Samtara (GB), placed second, ridden by Harry Atkins and By Your Side (GB), placed third, ridden by Ben Bromley.
Bromley was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left- handed over a prolonged period, without sufficient correction taking Samtara (GB) off his intended racing line.
Following the race, Miss Fern O'Brien reported that Gumball (FR), unplaced, was slowly into stride, Finn Lambert reported that Mayhem Mya (GB), unplaced, ran too freely; the Veterinary Officer reported that the mare lost its right-hind shoe.
The Veterinary Officer also reported that Ballygeary (IRE), unplaced, bled from the nose.
