Inside the final furlong, the rider of Glamorous Force (GB), placed third, when using his whip in his left hand, dropped his reins momentarily resulting in the gelding ducking quickly right-handed and causing interference to both Atyaaf (GB), placed second, and the winner, Cherish (FR), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
