An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend entering the back straight involving Eloquent Poet (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Davis and Calamity May (GB), unplaced, ridden by Martin Dwyer.
The interference was found to be accidental as Dywer had edged slightly left-handed causing a free running Eloquent Poet (IRE) to take a check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend into the home straight involving the winner, Nikolayeva (GB), ridden by Luke Morris and Dark Phoenix (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ben Curtis.
Curtis was cautioned for careless riding as he had used his whip in his left hand on a horse which was already hanging noticeably right-handed, causing Dark Phoenix (IRE) to shift further right hampering Nikolayeva (GB) and carrying that filly off its intended line.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately ½ a furlong out involving Good Try (GB), placed eighth, ridden by David Probert and Adamaris (IRE), placed second, ridden by Liam Keniry.
Keniry was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had manoeuvred right-handed when not sufficiently clear causing Probert to take a significant check.
The performance of Dark Phoenix (IRE) which finished unplaced, was considered.
Ben Curtis reported that the colt hung right-handed, the representative of Paul Cole’s explanation that Dark Phoenix (IRE) may not have stayed the 1 mile 1½ furlong trip on this occasion was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Good Try (GB), placed eighth, hung left-handed and Hollie Doyle also reported that Dame Rapide (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Dame Denali (GB), placed seventh, had lost its right-fore shoe.
