Approximately two furlongs out, Sparkling Or Still (IRE), placed fifth, hung quickly left-handed causing Copperlight (IRE), placed fourth, to be checked, which in turn hampered Utopian Lad (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the one furlong marker, Sparkling Or Still (IRE), placed fifth, hung left-handed despite the efforts of its rider to correct causing Grey Eminence (GB), placed sixth, to be steadied and switch around its heels, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sparkling Or Still (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Halfacrown (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Nicola Currie and Brown Eyes Blue (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Laura Coughlan.
Currie was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift left- handed towards the rail without sufficient or timely correction, causing Brown Eyes Blue (IRE) to be checked in its run.
Being a 7Ib claimer, Coughlan was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Following the race, Shane Kelly reported that Sparkling Or Still (IRE), placed fifth, hung left handed, Nicola Currie reported that Halfacrown (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any significant abnormalities other than Halfacrown (IRE) had lost her left-fore shoe.
