The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Senado Square (GB), ridden by S. Coen, placed sixth, and My Girl Sioux, ridden by J.S. Dalton, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Coen stated that it got a little tight for room and he took a precautionary check. J.S. Dalton stated that his mount hung right up the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.S. Dalton, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carlessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
