W.J. Lee, rider of Tourgar Raude trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount missed the break and was flat out from 5f out
The Stewards interviewed A.J. Slattery, rider of Smooth Tom, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tourgar Raude, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
