The Stewards received a report from Mr. D. Maher, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.M. Sheridan, rider of Stormy Duchess (FR), presented to weigh out at 2lbs overweight
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had omitted to declare the possible 2lbs overweight at the declaration stage. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 195 and having taken his record into account fined him €150. Furthermore they allowed R.P
Cleary to substitute J.M. Sheridan at the request of the trainer
