The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Fenlon, rider of Rudy Catrail, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. Fenlon was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 4 racedays
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tech Talk, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards rated 0-95 Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
