Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Honey Gg (GB), placed eighth, didn’t face the kickback and the filly was routine tested.
An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer that Honey Gg (GB), trained by Declan Carroll, which had been selected for post-race routine testing, had been removed from the Sampling Unit without permission prior to being tested.
Declan Carroll, the Veterinary Officer and an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer were interviewed.
After hearing their evidence, Carroll was found in breach of failing to submit a sample after notification of doping control in accordance with the Equine Anti-Doping rules.
The matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
