Khazix (IRE) collided with the rails leaving the Parade Ring, but having been examined by the Veterinary Officer the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong out when Imbucato (GB), placed third, ridden by Tom Marquand, interfered with Maazel (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Robert Winston, which in turn interfered with Swiss Cross (GB), placed seventh, ridden by Grace McEntee, which in turn interfered with Khazix (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by William Cox.
Marquand was suspended for two days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without timely correction, taking Maazel (IRE) off its intended line and, as a consequence Swiss Cross (GB) and in turn Khazix (IRE) were also taken marginally off their intended lines.
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that Imbucato (GB), placed third, ran around under pressure, and Hollie Doyle reported that Hidden Stash (GB), unplaced, was restless in the stalls and missed the break.
