An enquiry was held after interference inside the last half furlong, when the winner, Street Poet (IRE), ridden by Danny Redmond, interfered with Be Kool, placed third and Engrossed, placed fourth.
Danny Redmond was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his horse to drift right handed without correction causing Be Kool to be tight for room and ENGROSED (IRE) to be checked in his run.
Leaving the stalls, Inaam (IRE) jumped right handed, tightening up number Sinfonietta (FR), unplaced, which in turn tightened up Engrossed (IRE), placed fourth and at the same time as the winner Street Poet (IRE), jumped left handed from the stalls tightening up Be Kool (IRE), placed third, which in turn caused Blame Culture (USA), placed second, to be severely checked, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Blame Culture (USA), placed second, suffered interference leaving the stalls and on the run to the line.
The Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding lost its right hind-shoe.
