The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Kieran P. Cotter, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Gerrit's Gem, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Kieran P. Cotter stated that his charge got very upset in the Curragh the last day and ran around in the race. He further added that the application of first time blinkers helped him to concentrate and run a true race. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given
