Permission was given for Cannonball (AUS), Mitbaahy (IRE), Raasel (GB), Marshman (GB), and Dramatised (IRE) to wear red hoods to post; for Existent (GB) to be mounted in the chute, and for Vadream (GB) to be mounted in the Pre-Parade Ring.
Coolangatta (AUS) was given permission to go early and be ponied to post wearing a red hood, the filly also wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Bradsell (GB), ridden by Hollie Doyle, and Highfield Princess (FR), placed second, ridden by Jason Hart.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Bradsell (GB) in that at the time of the interference the colt was half a length up on Highfield Princess (FR) and always appeared to be holding the second placed horse, with a length between them at the line.
Doyle was suspended for 4 days for careless riding for allowing her mount to shift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing Highfield Princess (FR) to be taken notably off her intended line.
Following the race, the representative of K R Burke reported that Dramatised (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the high draw and the Good going, and would prefer a firmer surface.
