The winner, Floral Queen (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newton Abbot on 29 July 2019 where the mare finished seventh of nine, beaten by 16½ lengths.
Colin Tizzard’s explanation that Floral Queen (GB) had benefitted from the application of the first-time tongue strap was noted.
