An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Urban Sprawl (GB), placed second, ridden by Archie Young, interfered with Straya (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Paula Muir.
Young was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction causing Straya (IRE) to be carried off its intended line.
Paula Muir, the rider of Straya (IRE), placed fifth, beaten a nose for fourth place, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Muir was suspended for 4 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that would have finished fourth.
