The Stewards enquired into possible interference when passing through a direction marker about two furlongs from the finish involving Celine Soprano, ridden by Mr W.T. Cronin, placed second and Glint In Her Eye, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, placed first, where it appeared that Glint In Her Eye attempted to duck off the course but during correction she collided with Celine Soprano. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action
The Stewards interviewed Mr R. Deegan, rider of Glint In Her Eye, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that at the time of the incident at the two furlong marker, Mr R. Deegan had used his whip for corrective purposes therefore the remaining hits with the whip did not breach any part of R10 and took no action
