The Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Beating The Odds, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3(g)(frequency) and (i)(time to respond) and having taken his record into account, and pursuant to Reg.10.6.(a) the Stewards imposed a suspension of 9 race days on the rider
C.A. Landers, rider of Fr Gilligansvoyge (GB) trained by John G. Carr, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly and pulled up
The Stewards wished to enquire into the apparent improvement in form of Grey Habit, trained by P.Meany, placed first, as compared with its recent form. As the trainer was not present at the race meeting and had no Authorised Representative present to represent him, the Stewards referred the matter to the Referrals Committee
