An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Threediamondrings (GB) which had refused to race.
The representative of Mark Usher was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also been reluctant to race at Leicester on 18 July 2019, Usher’s representative was informed that any future similar behaviour from the gelding may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Upon leaving the stalls, Whims Of Desire (GB), drawn 11, jumped right-handed giving Swift Blade (IRE), drawn 12, a bump.
At the same time, Beechwood James (FR), drawn 14, jumped left-handed taking Mount Cleshar (GB), drawn 13, off its intended line and causing it to make brief contact with Swift Blade (IRE).
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of any horse.
Gavin Ashton, the rider of Whims Of Desire (GB), was unseated on the home bend on the first circuit.
Ashton was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by the filly cocking her jaw and running out on the home bend.
Following the race, Thore Hammer Hansen reported that Beechwood James (FR), placed second, hung left-handed under pressure, and Cieren Fallon reported that his saddle slipped on Sleepdancer (IRE), unplaced.
