The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Hamilton, rider of Alessandro Algardi, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr T. Hamilton stated that his mount got racing early and had a high head carriage. He added that he initially tried one back hander but his mount kept responding to his use and got beaten in a tight finish. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr T. Hamilton was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion GENERAL INFORMATION The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Mr. C.P.
