Permission was given for Hat Toss (IRE), Yeoman (GB) and Kynsa (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Raimunda (USA) to mount in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Kynsa (IRE), trained by Kevin Philippart de Foy, was not submitted.
As this was his seventh breach within the previous 12 months, Philippart de Foy was fined £80.
Hat Toss (IRE), trained by James Owen, had entered the Parade Ring after the signal to mount had been given.
After interviewing his representative, Owen was fined £140.
Jim Crowley, the rider of Atlantis Blue (GB), drawn 14, was slow to remove the blindfold.
Crowley’s explanation that the blindfold became caught on the hood and required a second attempt to remove it, was noted.
The winner, Hat Toss (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 4 July 2024 where the gelding finished last of seven, beaten by 10¾ lengths.
The representative of James Owens' explanation that Hat Toss (IRE) appeared to benefit from the removal of cheekpieces on this occasion was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
