The winner, CAMILE (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Down Royal on 31 August 2018 where the mare finished eleventh of the twelve finishers, beaten by 45 lengths. The representative of Joseph Patrick O'Brien's explanation that CAMILE (IRE) had appreciated being ridden with more restraint on this occasion was noted and the mare was routine tested.
HOPONANDSEE, placed fourth, stumbled on landing after jumping the final flight, shifting left-handed and interfering with TOP ROCK TALULA (IRE), placed seventh, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of HOPONANDSEE.
