The Stewards fined Niall Moran, trainer, ?350 for failing to lodge a passport in respect of The Drunken Dr, when required for a spot check. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Borussia, trained by Augustine Leahy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race. Niall Moran, trainer of The Drunken Dr, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge ran flat throughout this race.
