The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Port Joulain (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the run away from the stands involving Angelo Dundee, ridden by Mr D. McGill, Goldinthemountains (FR), ridden by Mr P.A. King, and Samyr (FR), ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson where it appeared Sanyr got tight for room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. D
McGill said he received pressure from his outside. Mr. P.A. King said he rode a straight line down the hill. Mr. J.L
Gleeson said he was riding the inside line when he received pressure from his left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. P.A. King was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), the Raceday Stewards, using their discretion, suspended him for one raceday
