Even in her bumpers she raced idly and while you can't get away with that over hurdles, cheekpieces have sharpened her up. The step up in trip was also a big help but she is better going left-handed. She hung badly in a maiden hurdle at Limerick once but as long as you leave her alone, she is fine. She hung left on that bend twice today but once Mark left her alone she was okay. The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the weighing out of More Info, ridden by D.King (5lbs) in this race who did not avail of his full claim and claimed 3lbs. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and Mr.H.T.Hynes, IHRB Clerk of the Scales. D. King stated that he believed that he had lost the right to claim 5lbs following a win at Roscommon on Monday 25th September and since todays racing fell on the third day he believed his 5lb claim was gone. Mr.H.T.Hynes confirmed this was the reason D. King claimed 3lbs and not 5lbs. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards explained Rule 52 (iii) to D King and took no further action other than to advise him of this obligation to familiarise himself with the rules.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-102 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
